Standing only 5'2" tall Kym hardly looks like someone that could defend herself against a larger attacker. Nothing could be further from the truth. Kym's story is both remarkable and inspiring. A victim of domestic violence herself, Kym decided not to be a victim any longer. She began taking karate lessons in a small town dojo that launched a career as a 7 time world champion and Karate Hall of Fame member. Her accomplishments as a world renowned martial artist have put to rest the stereotype that woman are weak and easy targets. Kym has now focused her energy on building "Fight Like a Girl" so women all over the world can learn to be smart about self defense. Her idea that "It's ok to be scared but have a plan." has changed the way women view self defense.
